

KPA Pledges Ksh2MiIIion to Construct an Updated Science School at Kilifi Kenya

Capt. William Ruto, Managing Director in the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), has pledged Ksh2 million to construct an advanced science lab at Jimba Primary School in Rabai Sub-County, Kilifi County.
Speaking at the school, Captain Ruto also promised it as part of the Authority's corporate social responsibility project, the lab will come furnished with five desktop and laptop computers in along with a water pump.
In spite of demanding that a trailer full of food supplies be sent out the next day for children impacted by the region's severe drought, the KPA chief was speaking at an awards ceremony of the improved 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education performance in Rabai.
He stressed that while physical infrastructure, such buildings, provide defense, real achievement in school requires self-control, diligence, and unwavering support from parents, educators, and the community.
With the goal to enhance the learning environment in the sub-county, the KPA boss urged parents and all stakeholders to support teachers and to make sure students attend school each day. He also pledged to keep working with the county and the national government.
Jilo Justin Mkaduda, the director of education for Rabai Sub-County, welcomed the pledge and highlighted the sub-count's better KCSE results, wherein 21.8% of candidates, roughly 528 pupils, achieved high enough grades to be admitted to university for the first time.
Anthony Kenga Mupe, a member of parliament of Rabai, thanked Capt. Ruto while asking for further development support.
In order to nurture local talent, he asked that the next KPA football tournament be held in Rabai. He also requested help in addressing the transportation issues that local teams was facing.
The MP expressed confidence that the MD will make it easier for the constituency's schools to build the much-needed laboratory.
